Omni Builders Risk advertises on the internet
"Save 25% or More"
and advertises on their website
"Less Expensive (up to 25%!)". But no details
are provided regarding how they determined this cost savings and there is no proof
that these
statements are true.
Also, their website states that they insure
"more housing starts" with "fewer blanket policies" and are "more efficient".
This leaves many people wondering: more housing starts than whom,
fewer blanket policies than
whom and more efficient than whom?
So, we decided to put this promise of being less expensive to the test.
And we quickly found that they were not
less expensive (see below). You can get instant online quotes
on Omni Builders Risk's website and at
www.ChaseAgency.com. So, you can test out the savings yourself.
Real Example of Savings Over OMNI Builders Risk
A new construction project valued at over $500,000 was quoted by OMNI Builders
Risk in July 2006 and the rate was 28.8 cents per $100 of coverage.
(We have the written quote and proposal as proof.)
Our quoted rate in June 2008 for the same project was 40.6% less with a rate
of 17.1
cents per $100 of coverage.
For example, a $900,000 construction project
would cost $2592 with OMNI Builders Risk and only $1539 if purchased through Chase
Carmen Hunter Insurance for 40.6% savings over OMNI. This is just one
example of the lack of savings at OMNI Builders Risk.
Rates vary from state to state and county to county.

Real Example of OMNI's Lack Savings
A new construction project valued at over $500,000 was quoted by OMNI Builders
Risk in July 2006 and the rate was 28.8 cents per $100 of coverage.
(We have the
written quote and proposal as proof.)
Our quoted rate in July 2006 was 25% less at 23 cents per $100 of coverage.
We issued a similar policy within 60 days of receiving this OMNI Builders
Risk quote in July 2006. We quoted a rate of 23 cents per $100 of coverage,
but the policy
was issued at a rate was 28.8 cents per $100 of coverage which is 25% higher
than quoted
but the same exact rate as OMNI Builders Risk.
For example, a $600,000 construction project
would cost $1728 with OMNI Builders Risk and only $1728 if purchased through
Chase Carmen Hunter Insurance $0 savings over OMNI. This is just one
example of the lack of savings at OMNI Builders Risk. Rates vary from state to state and county to county.

As of June 2008: See Below for Three Examples in Which OMNI Builders Risk's Website Provides
Instant Quotes Much Less Expensive Than Ours.
But When You Click to Buy the Coverage from OMNI Builders Risk's Website,
Their Website Brings You to a Dead End by Bringing You to a Different
Website That is Under Construction.
Example 1:
Location: Massachusetts
New Construction
Professional Builder with Less Than 25 Starts Per Year
Within 5 Miles of a Fire Station
Cost to Build: $430,000
OMNI Builders Risk Instant Quote: $132.58 Annually Which Brings You to a Website Under Construction if You Want to Buy
We Issued This Coverage for $1000.85 (Our instant online quote was $1045.89, but the final firm offer came back lower.)
Example 2:
Location: Virginia
New Construction
Professional Builder with Less Than 25 Starts Per Year
5 or More Miles of a Fire Station
Cost to Build: $528,000
OMNI Builders Risk Instant Quote: $147.23 Annually Which Brings You to a
Website Under Construction if You Want to Buy
We Issued This Coverage for $1598 (Our instant online quote was $981,
but the final firm offer came back higher because the customer obtained an instant quote by
stating that a fire hydrant was within 1000 feet, but we
discovered that there were no fire hydrants within many miles. Thus, a higher rate
was charged than the instant online quote.)
