Flood insurance is offered through insurance companies appointed by FEMA and the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). The National Flood Insurance Program has standardized rates across all insurance companies. That means your choice can be based soley on which company gives you the best service.

The National Flood Insurance Program offers maximum limits of only $500,000 per commercial building and $250,000 per residential building. Higher limits are available if needed. If your building is valued at $800,000, you may want more than the $500,000 limit offered by the National Flood Insurance Program. There are no maximum limits of insurance. Coverage in excess of $500,000 is readily available at highly competitive rates.
