Home-based Business Liability Insurance

A home-based business is a business you operate from your home. You do not have an office outside your home. The key to qualifying is whether or not your office is in your home. You qualify as a home-based business even if:
  • you sell products or provide your service while physically outside your home. For example, you sell your product or provide your service at a trade show, door-to-door, via the internet, via the telephone, on consignment, via pyramid marketing, etc.
  • you have employees in another city or state who also work from their homes
  • you sell products to people in another city, state, or country
  • your product is sold through permanently or temporarily installed machines outside your home (payphones, vending machines, etc.)

Do you qualify as a home-based business?
